Warren Harding Wilson was born December 26, 1920 to James H. and Hilda Marie (Benson) Wilson in Kratka Township, Pennington County, MN. I worked on the family farm till I was 22 years old then I bought the neighbor farm in 1943 for cash and started to farm there. I and my brothers farmed together for the next few years. In 1943 on May 1st I was united in marriage to Rosalie Hruby. We made our home on the farm where I now live. I have two sons, David (fiancé, Karen Jenkins) Wilson of Goodridge, MN and Dennis (Sue) Wilson of Grand Forks, ND. Six grandchildren, Jennifer (Josh) Prouty of Forest Lake, MN and Ashlee (Jaime) Miramontes of Viking, MN, Danielle (Nick) Harris and Jody (Casey Vettleson) Wilson all of Thief River Falls, Troy (Sheila) Wilson and Kimberly (Brett Garner) Ferguson of Fargo; great-grandchildren, Adam, Hannah, Mavrik, Quinn, Kora, Abbott, Jimmy, Andy, Brady, Cody, Emma, Makayla, Zach; several nieces and nephews. I never attended high school or college. I loved to help on the family farm and be outdoors. My mother always read the bible to us kids and taught us to pray and obey the 10 commandments. I am writing this letter because I am the last survivor of the original Wilson family and also to make it easy for my survivors. When I was younger I did a lot of trapping and hunting after I got my new knees I started dancing again at Trail. At the time of this writing I am 83 years old and have lost my folks and brothers and sisters and a lot of close friends. They preceded me in death. Four brothers, Sidney, Archie, Fred, Stanley; two sisters, Evelyn and June. When I was about 16, I started trapping to make some money of my own for about six seasons. I trapped and rode horse back on my trapping line and for a few years I was in the fur buying business and I bought fur from other trappers and sold for a small profit. I have made arrangements for this day as I am the last of the original Wilsons. Lots of neighbors and friends told me I was a good old boy, I never thought much about it myself I just lived the way I liked it.
