Wayne Halbasch, 49, died Friday, February 11, 2005 in Thief River Falls, MN; resulting from severe injuries sustained in a vehicle accident on January 5th.

Wayne Allan Halbasch was born September 10, 1955, the son of William and Joyce (Olson) Halbasch in Thief River Falls, MN. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls. Wayne attended school at Washington, Franklin and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1974 and also attended Moorhead Technical College. He graduated from the grocery management program and returned to Thief River Falls working in a variety of grocery stores. On June 17, 1978 he was united in marriage to Christi Dahle, to this union three children were born Brian, Ashley and Blake. Wayne has worked the past 13 years at Arctic Cat in Thief River Falls along with part time work for School District 564.

He enjoyed his many friendships and outdoor activities, but most of all he enjoyed the time spent with his children. Wayne was active in the Fourtown/Grygla Sportsmans Club and an avid snowmobiler. He was also a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Survived by children, Brian Halbasch, of Honolulu, Hawaii, Ashley Halbasch and Blake Halbasch, both of Thief River Falls, MN; parents William and Joyce Halbasch of Thief River Falls, MN; one brother Bruce (Trish) Halbasch of Apple Valley, MN and two sisters Nancy (Jeff) Hendrickson and Jane (Daniel) Aandal of Thief River Falls, MN; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, and his granddaughter, Destiny Lynn Kilen.
