Obituary

Wayne Hoselton of Red Lake Falls passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at his home in Red Lake Falls, MN.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 30, 2017, at 10:30 AM at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls, MN.  Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Red Lake Falls, MN.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 29, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls, with a 7 PM prayer service.  Additional visitation will be available one hour prior to the service on Monday.

Terrence Wayne Hoselton was born on a farm on November 20, 1937, near Bowesmont, ND, the son of Raymond and Ruby (Pettis) Hoselton.  He was raised at the family's Nowesta farm, Northwest of Drayton, ND.  He attended country school through 8 grades and graduated from Drayton High School in 1955.  He attended Nashville Auto Diesel College in Nashville, TN.  Upon completion, he worked at farm equipment dealerships in Drayton, ND, Cando, ND, and traveled Northwest Minnesota, North Dakota and Eastern Montana for Allis Chalmers Mfg. Company as a district Service Specialist for seven years.  Wayne also owned and operated Interstate Equipment Inc. in Glendive, MT from 1972 to 1975 and Wayne's Service in Red Lake Falls from 1983 until 1987.

On November 17, 1972, he was united in marriage to Johanna Faulhaber in Dickinson, ND.  They moved to Red Lake Falls in 1975 where they raised their family.  There he continued to work at farm equipment dealerships Falls Equipment in Red Lake Falls and Anderson Power and Equipment in Thief River Falls until retiring in 2003.  After retirement, he enjoyed working part-time for Seeger farms.

Wayne enjoyed tinkering with anything he could find, as well as volunteering with "Dial A Ride" and "Meals On Wheels."  Wayne was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, including participating as a church elder, choir member and building committee member.  He enjoyed visiting and playing cards, and attending weekly bingo at the Legion and Senior Meals site.

Wayne is survived by his children Douglas Hoselton of Grand Forks, ND, Harrison (Jennifer) Hoselton of St. Michael, MN, and Jocelyn Hoselton of Monticello, MN; grandchildren Tyler, Kale, Lauren, Abigail, Joseph, Wyatt and Cameryn of St. Michael, MN; sister Carol Martinez of Lafayette, IN; sisters-in-law Saralee Hoselton of Drayton, ND and Linda Hoselton of Grafton, ND; an aunt and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, brothers Leonard (died at birth) Eugene, Warren, brother-in-law Al Martinez, and sister-in-law Marcia Hoselton.
