Wayne was born January 4, 1979, at Thief River Falls, MN, the son of Larry W. and Barbara (Bendel) Rahn. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1997. He worked at Auto Value until moving to Idaho in the fall of 2002, where he worked in the housing construction business.

Wayne enjoyed playing basketball in his school years and softball in later years. Wayne was an avid hunter and fisherman enjoying many hours at the sport with his father, sister, brother-in-law and friends.

Wayne attended St. Bernards Catholic School as a child, was baptized and confirmed and is a member of St. Bernards Catholic Church in Thief River Falls.

Wayne is survived by his father, Larry and wife, Yvonne (Ode) Rahn, Thief River Falls, MN, sister, Lisa and brother-in-law, Glade Platts; one niece, Megan Platts of Bellevue, ID; grandmothers, Esther Redekop, Mountain Lake, MN and Anne Bendel, Red Lake Falls, MN; 4 cousins Kevin (Alison) Rahn, Shakopee, MN; Kelly (Marty) Radi, Sartell, MN; Sheila Rahn, Mountain Lake, MN; Chris Norman, Thief River Falls, MN; 2 uncles Roger (Carla) Rahn, Mountain Lake, MN; Jerry Bendel, Bellevue, ID; and an aunt Delphe (Khaled) Othman, Riverside, California, three step sisters Dawn (Brian) Carey, Moorhead, MN; Carla (David) Parish, Allen, Texas; Brenda (Mark) Doll, Prospect, KY; and many other relatives and friends.

Wayne was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Rahn; grandfathers, Willard Rahn and Balsey Bendel and step grandfather, Jacob Redekop.
