William Rust, 63, died on Monday, November 5, 2007 at MeritCare Northwest Campus, in Thief River Falls, MN with his loving family at his side after a courageous battle with cancer.

Memorial service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 8, 2007 at the River of Life Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Pastor Troy Bates officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.

Reverend William D. Rust was born on May 26, 1944 in Harvey, North Dakota to Jacob and Marie (Jans) Rust, the twelfth of thirteen children. He graduated from high school in Martin, North Dakota and obtained a bachelors degree in education from Minot State University. He married Lois Vix in 1967.

Bill earned a Master of Science degree from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley and a Master of Divinity from Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, California. He married Nancy Killion in 1982.

Education and ministry were his two passions in life, and he enjoyed his work as principal of the Dakota Boys Ranch in Minot, director of Christian education at the Presbyterian Church in Greeley, Colorado, and his ministry parishes in Calvin, Sarles, Hannah, Grafton, and Minto, North Dakota, and Warren, Eucid, Angus, Gary, and Thief River Falls, Minnesota.

Bill is survived by his wife, Nancy Rust; daughter, Naomi Rust of Fullerton, California; step-son, David Killion (Dawn) of Morgan Hill, California; grandchildren, Rebecca and Justin; brothers, Alfred of Portland, Oregon and James (Jean) of Martin; sisters, Adeline of Martin, Marcella of New Rockford, Patricia of Minot, Janice of Martin, and Juli (Ted) Kautzman of Fairmont, Minnesota.

Ill is preceded in death by his parents, Marie and Jacob Rust; and brothers, Ralph, Terry, Warren, Gerhardt, and Calvin. May his memory be blessed.
